Important Information: Windows XP & Windows 2003 Server Support

In April of last year Microsoft announced the end of life for Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server operating systems (OS). As of January, 2016 we no longer support any systems running these old operating systems and any issues that may arise will be covered under our hourly support agreement.

What does this mean for you?

If you continue to use Windows XP now that support has ended, your computer will still work, but your system will be vilnurable to risks and viruses. The reason is that Microsoft is no longer providing updates for system vulnerabilities leaving such systems open to be exploited by malware, viruses and other malicious attacks. Any medical or business data you have in such computers are at a serious risk.

If you need to upgrade your OS you may also need to upgrade your computer. Many of the old computers that came with Windows XP and Windows 2003 do not meet the minimum hardware requirements to support newer versions of OS.

How to stay protected

If you still have any computers running on these old OS’ we strongly encourage that you contact BlueBird support immediately to upgrade to a current version and/or replace your old hardware. Moving to a new OS will dramatically enhance the security of your medical data and network.
